a luncheon discussion with Marlene Loadvine, Senior Associate Dean, External Relations, School of Cinematic Arts
Ms. Loadvine will share professional experiences and personal anecdotes from working in fundraising for over 35 years, including the early days with Dean Elizabeth Daley to insights into supporting USC’s current campaign. She will explore the evolving environment for women in leadership and the changing nature of Development.

Since 1991, under her leadership at the School of Cinematic Arts, Marlene Loadvine has raised over half a billion dollars in new gifts and pledges and increased the endowment from $6 million to over $190 million, including a record 25 endowed faculty positions. In October of 2006 the school announced the largest single donation in USC history with $175 million gift from the George Lucas Family Foundation. Marlene and her fundraising team have brought in $135 million towards the capital construction funds for the new Cinematic Arts complex.
Marlene has been in professional fundraising for more than three decades and at USC since 1985, continuing in her third University-wide campaign. In addition to her long-time association with USC, Marlene has been a member and speaker for the National Society of Fundraising Executives (NSFRE) and Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE).
Marlene holds a Bachelor degree in Psychology and her Master of Business Administration from the USC Marshall School of Business. She and her husband Bill are parents of two USC daughters.
